As Kristal gave his pep talk, Julie looked up with a big
smile, but it was like he hadn't even taken notice. Though
disappointed, she realized he was being the business man she knew
he was. But after the breakfast he walked Julie back to her
room. She knew now that everything was O.K. "I hope you will do
well, Julie. I'm going to give you a few ideas on how to handle
your business." She was even more surprised when that was
exactly what he did when they went into her room. He was very
precise on how to handle things, and she listened very attentive-
ly. When he was through, he took her in his arms and kissed her
very gently.

"I want you to be very successful here, babe. I see a great
place for you."

That made Julie feel very special. Now she would do if for
him. She now wanted to show him that she could be all the things
he spoke of. She would show him she would be number one with him
whatever it took.

As Jay relaxed back at his suite, Ripley phoned to say they
would all be leaving soon and that they would return about nine
that evening.

The next call, hours later, was also from Ripley; he had
returned with fourteen deals. The news was better than expected.
A party would be in order later that night. "Oh, how did my girl
do."

"Well, I don't know what you did to her man, but she
doubled."

"You mean she wrote two deals her first day?"
