"I don't know what else is going to happen this morning. I
go away for two days, and the world is caving in on top of me."

As Jay walked into the reception Julie came in looking so
striking, he had to look twice to know what he had seen.

"Come into my office, please," Jay sounded very official.
Then caught her as she walked into the office, closed the door,
and swept her off her feet, kissing her passionately.

"Hi darling, I've missed you. I would love to invite you to
lunch, but I have a business lunch."

This is the first time Jay realized that he did have a
business lunch with Schroud. "But I want to see you this evening
after you return from the field. We can have a late dinner."

"We could compromise," Schroud gazed steadily at Jay across
the lunch table. "I hope you know, Kristal, that you're the best
man I have in the whole organization."

"Yeah, I'm sure of that. My operation is doing more
business than anyone's. And when my operation is combined with
Tom's, that gives us a bigger piece of the business than anyone
else. But we're getting the same percentage as all the people in
your office.

"This is what will have to change. I want an increase in
the percentage. Besides, my expenses are very high."

"What expenses? You don't even pay for the stamps to send
our business in. We're just asking for what is ours."
